Meet our Sommeliers
Brasserie Julien offers some of New York City's hottest wine classes led by our team of talented sommeliers. Historically, sommeliers are wine stewards who work closely with chefs choosing wines that complement their food and with guests to accommodate their likes and dislikes when choosing wine to accompany their meal and enhance their dining experience. Today, this role has expanded as sommeliers now work for wineries, in sales, on cruises, flights, running corporate beverage programs and of course, as educators. Each of our instructors is a certified sommelier, capable of teaching beginner, intermediate or advanced students utilizing techniques that make learning fun. You can learn from these professionals by attending our weekly wine classes or by booking a private tasting or corporate event. Interested in becoming a wine professional?
